Water School Weekly Classes- Four Week Session By Request
This class is designed to teach learners a wholistic approach to the earth and, in particular, to respect water in our ever-changing landscape. It encourages critical thinking from all aspects – how water effects learners individually, and collectively in their homes, families and communities. The course is interdisciplinary – learning about water scientifically, sociologically, economically and culturally in order to ultimately allow learners to critically analyze the importance of water and its impact on themselves and the world around them. Week one will focus on the individual, week two on family life and water, week three on water and community and week four on water and humanity. Weekly projects such as building gray water containers and storage, building water capture and sanitation stations, desalination projects, water shedding projects, sustainable farming and water projects and more.
Supplies are provided
Ages 8-12. 5 to 10 learners per class. 5 person minimum for class to run.
** Families can drop off or are welcome to stay. A small café is onsite.
